ProDream USA and Jakob Trobollowitsch are now working together.
ProDream USA guides junior golfers toward a place in American college golf. Jakob Trobollowitsch is a mental performance mentor for competitive golfers, based in Dubai, and the founder of the Awareness Performance System (APS) and the Set & Forget method.
From now on, ProDream USA players have direct access to his work. It starts with a Zoom webinar held exclusively for them. The date will be announced through ProDream USA.
Why would a college golf agency and a mental performance mentor work together? Because of where the road to college golf is actually decided.
The belief most junior golfers hold
Juniors on their way to college believe the road runs through their technique. More hours on the range. A cleaner swing. A sharper short game. When the results do not come, they conclude they have not practiced enough yet, and they practice more.
It is an honest belief. Technique is visible. You can film it, measure it and compare it. Progress on the range feels like progress toward college.
And the technique matters. Nobody plays college golf without it. But for most players who are serious enough to be on this road, the technique is already there. Watch them on the range and the game is ready.
The scorecard does not always agree.
Why the swing is rarely what stops a player
Recruiting does not watch the range. It reads results: tournaments, qualifiers, rankings. The scores that count are produced on exactly the days when the most is at stake. A coach is watching. A ranking is moving. A place is open, and everyone in the field knows it.
On those days, many juniors whose game is ready play below their level. Not because the swing changed overnight. What changed is what each shot has to carry.
A bogey on the third hole that is never fully let go. A glance at the leaderboard on the back nine. A good number that the player starts protecting instead of building on. The swing is the same swing that worked all week. The conditions it has to execute under are not the same.
This is the gap between the range and the card. We call it the Execution Barrier: the point where internal programming overrides physical training. It is invisible on the range, because the range never asks the question a tournament asks. And it is invisible to the players themselves, because they only feel where it shows up, not where it starts.
That is why more practice so often does not solve it. You are not losing because of your swing, and another hour on the range does not reach the place where the round is being lost.
What the work looks like
The work does not start with a technique. It starts by locating where the pattern actually sits in a player's round, based on data from their own game, not on how they describe it.
Then the player learns what their system does under pressure, and why. The Set & Forget method gives every shot a clear point where deciding ends and executing begins. The player decides fully, then lets the shot go without carrying the last hole, the leaderboard or the coach on the side of the green into it.
The first change is one only the player can see: recognizing the moment pressure takes hold, while it is happening, not three holes later. The card comes second. It follows the inside, never the other way around.
For juniors on the road to college, that order matters. It means they do not have to wait for the next result to know whether the work is doing anything. They can observe it in themselves first.
What the partnership covers
The webinar is the starting point. It is held exclusively for ProDream USA players and recorded, so every player can watch it later. Invitations go out through ProDream USA.
Beyond the webinar, ProDream USA players can work with Jakob individually. The work covers two stretches of the same road: preparing mentally for the tournaments and qualifiers that lead to college, and continuing that preparation once the player has arrived at college, where the pressure does not stop. It changes shape.
ProDream USA works on the road to college. Jakob works on how a player performs on the days that decide it. The two belong together.
Talent is not the question
Most players on this road have the talent. Most of them have put in the hours. The question is whether both hold on the day the score counts.
That is the part this partnership prepares players for.
