Golf mental coach · Dubai · Zoom worldwide

You are not losing because of your swing. You never were.

Golf mental coaching for competitive golfers whose range game is there and whose scorecard is not. The first change is one only you can see. Then the card follows: 2-4 shots for college and tour pros. No swing changes. The Execution Barrier Audit: two sessions to find where it breaks down.

You cannot break a pattern you cannot see.

01

That is the whole problem, and it is the whole method.

01 / Diagnosis

You already know what it feels like to lose a round you should have won.

The swing was there. The preparation was there. You had done everything right. Then something shifted. One bad shot. One moment of pressure. One thought that should not have mattered, and the player you know you can be was gone. This is what we call The Execution Barrier, the invisible threshold where your internal programming overrides your physical training. It is not a breakdown of skill. It is a software glitch under pressure.

HIGH LOW COMPETITIVE PRESSURE → RANGE POTENTIAL TOURNAMENT EXECUTION EXECUTION BARRIER

Four Patterns We Dismantle

Range / Card Divide

You hit it like a pro on the range. The moment a scorecard is in your hand, your body stops feeling natural.

Defensive Trap

You go under par and your system shifts into Survival Mode. You start protecting a number instead of attacking the next shot.

Downward Spiral

One bogey. One bad hole. The rest of the round feels like an unraveling you cannot stop.

Identity Ceiling

You feel lucky when you hit a great shot, instead of knowing it is who you are. Your old identity is acting as a handbrake on your real potential.

That is not a technique problem.

01

That has never been a technique problem.

02 / Who I Am

I had the talent. That is exactly what stopped me.

My name is Jakob. I grew up inside the Austrian football academy system from the age of fifteen. Seven sessions a week, coaches who broke down technique to the millimeter. They told me things. I did not listen. I believed the talent was the argument, and that whatever anyone said, I knew better. That is why I made no progress, and why I never turned professional. Not for want of coaching. For want of listening. So I know this pattern from the inside, and that you cannot break one you refuse to look at. I give players the one thing I would not take.

Jakob

Today I play off a handicap of 2 and work out of Dubai with college athletes and tour professionals who have the exact problem I once had, the skill is there, the scorecard is not. Golf is the sport where the mental game has nowhere to hide. There is no team to absorb the pressure. There is no coach walking next to you between shots. Every reaction — to a bad lie, a missed putt, a hostile leaderboard — is yours alone.

I know the exact distance between what you can produce and what ends up on the card. And I know precisely why it exists.

It is also why I ask to be questioned, and why I only work with players who are willing to do it. If you can tell me I am wrong, you can tell yourself the truth about your own round.

An internal operating system for elite athletes.

Most mental coaching talks about confidence, motivation, and positive thinking. That is not what we do. You cannot control a thought. You can watch it, and step back from it. That is the mechanism. Everything below is built on it. Your swing is hardware. Your mind is software. You cannot solve a software problem by upgrading the hardware. But you are the one running the system, not the machine it runs on. Nothing gets installed before you have seen what it is for. I show you what your system does under load, you see it, and seeing it is what moves it.

See it. Understand it. Then the technique.

01

Never the other way round.

Most mental coaches hand you a mechanism on day one. Breathe like this. Meditate like that. But what are you breathing for? What are you meditating against, if you do not yet understand your own nervous system? A technique you do not understand is one more instruction to follow, and following instructions is the pattern you are already stuck in.

So the order is fixed. First you see what you actually do under pressure. Then you understand why your system does it. Only then does a technique have something to work on. The three pillars below run in exactly that sequence, and they only work in that sequence.

APS Core Architecture · Three Pillars

The Set & Forget Protocol

The two-second switch. A three-step sequence that quiets the thinking mind during the most decisive seconds of the round.

01

Anchor

You set the shot. Wind, slope, distance, target. The analytical mind is fully engaged. You commit completely to the plan. Doubt and re-evaluation happen now, or not at all.

02

Execute

You step over the ball. The thinking mind shuts down. The instinctive body executes. No swing thoughts. No "do not" instructions. No interference.

03

Accept

You watch the result without judgment. The shot becomes data, not identity. You return to the present and prepare for the next one. The previous shot is no longer in the round.

This is not a different way of thinking.

01

It is a different way of seeing.

04 / Cost of Inaction

Ask yourself honestly.

01

How long have you been performing below what you know you are capable of?

02

What have you tried to fix it, and why has it not worked?

03

If nothing changes in the next twelve months, what does that cost you, in ranking, in trophies, in the career you are building?

Three Things You Already Know

Tournaments do not return.

Every event you underperform is a missed opportunity that does not come back. The competitive window for elite golf is narrow, and it does not extend itself for anyone.

Sponsors and scouts read the pattern.

They do not see talent under pressure. They see inconsistency. And they make their decisions accordingly. The next call rarely comes after the second blow-up.

Your mental state is the deciding factor.

Every qualifying event, every round that truly matters — your mental state is what tips the result. Not your swing. Never your swing.

06 / How We Work

A precise system. Not a program.

Three phases. Designed sequentially. Every player starts with Phase 1. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are offered after Phase 1, to players who are ready for the work.

Start here
Phase 1 · Execution Barrier Audit
USD 4403 calls

This is where we find it. We locate and name your Execution Barrier, the exact moment your internal system overrides your technical skill, and install your Set & Forget anchor before your next tournament.

  • Kickoff call, 15 to 20 minutes. If you are under 18, a parent joins.
  • Session 1, Locate. We identify your personal Execution Barrier. Where it activates. What triggers it.
  • Session 2, Install. We install the foundational APS framework and your personal Set & Forget anchor.
  • A written summary after each session: insights and your next steps.
  • Bonus: 50% of your Phase 1 fee is credited toward your next phase.
Phase 2 · Break the Execution Barrier
After Phase 16 weeks

One session every week. Regular contact is the point: two weeks between calls is not enough for anything to change. This is where the pattern found in Phase 1 is taken apart.

  • 6 sessions in 6 weeks, one per week.
  • WhatsApp support: answers within 24 hours, one message before and one after each round.
  • A written summary after each session.
  • Offered after Phase 1. Places are limited.
  • Bonus: 50% of your Phase 2 fee is credited toward Phase 3.
Phase 3 · Tournament Immersion
By invitation3 months

One-to-one intensive work over three months, two calls a week, built around your tournament calendar. Everything is included.

  • 24 sessions over 3 months, two calls per week.
  • Tournament preparation. Only in Phase 3.
  • WhatsApp support and a written summary after each session.
  • By invitation only, after Phase 1.

Phase 1 is USD 440 and can be booked directly. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are discussed after Phase 1, once we both know what the work needs. As a bonus, half of each phase is credited toward the next one.

07 / Compatibility

I work with a small number of golfers. I choose carefully.

This work only produces results when both sides are fully committed. I do not take on players I cannot genuinely help, and that is not a sales statement, it is a structural constraint. Currently 3 to 4 new athletes per month. That number says how many. What follows says which.

Compatible

  • College golfers entering or competing at the university level.
  • Tour professionals in men’s and women’s golf.
  • Established professionals removing the last mental barriers between where they are and where they know they can go.
  • Players willing to look inward honestly and do the work between sessions.
  • Players willing to question me, and to say so when something is not clear.

Incompatible

  • Players who want to talk about the problem rather than look at it.
  • Players still looking for a shortcut, a hack, or a quick fix.
  • Players who expect transformation without doing the work between sessions.
  • Players who believe the next swing tweak is the answer.
  • Recreational golfers looking for a casual fix rather than a competitive edge.

Who is committed has nothing to lose. Who is not, will find that out on their own.

Three Conditions I Do Not Move On

No technique in session one.

Not a breathing drill, not a meditation, nothing you could follow without knowing what it is against. What are you breathing for, if you do not understand your own nervous system yet? An unexplained technique is one more instruction, and instructions are the pattern you are already in.

The work stays with you.

I do not carry it, and I say so before we start. There are tasks between sessions. If they do not get done, the programme does not get bigger to compensate. You get the same question again.

I do not take a mandate where the method is set for me.

Not by a player, and not by a parent. With a junior athlete the parents are the paying party, so this is the expensive version of that sentence. It stands anyway. Someone who sets the method takes the looking away from the player, and then only instruction is left.

FAQ

Before you book.

Is this swing coaching?

No. I am not a technique coach, and I do not touch your swing. The work starts where your technique is already good enough and stops showing up on the card.

What level do I need to be at?

You need the technical quality already. I work with junior athletes from the age of fifteen, college players and tour professionals: players whose range game is there and whose scorecard is not.

Do you work with amateurs?

My focus is competitive golf. If you are an amateur who competes and is serious about getting better, write to me on Instagram or WhatsApp, and we find out whether the work fits.

Is it online or in person?

Face to face in Dubai, everything else on Zoom. I join you on the course where the club allows it. Most courses in Dubai are private, so that needs approval first.

What does it cost?

Phase 1 is USD 440: a kickoff call and two sessions. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are discussed after Phase 1, once we both know what the work needs. As a bonus, 50% of your Phase 1 fee is credited toward the next phase.

What happens after I book Phase 1?

You pay, fill in your Performance Sheet, and we hold a short kickoff call. If you are under 18, a parent joins it. Then come the two sessions.

How soon will I notice a difference?

The first change is one only you can see: how you react to a bad shot, a bogey, a tight leaderboard. Most players notice it within the first two or three sessions. The card follows after that, and how fast differs from player to player.

Do I have to work between sessions?

Yes. There are tasks between sessions, and I say so before we start. If they do not get done, the programme does not get bigger to compensate. You get the same question again.

The gap between who you are and who you could be is not technical. It never was.
